Paresh Rawal’s sudden departure from the much-anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’ has not only disappointed fans but also ignited a legal battle. Akshay Kumar’s production house has reportedly filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against Rawal for backing out after initial commitments and even after the commencement of shooting.
Suniel Shetty, Rawal’s co-star, expressed his shock and dismay, stating that neither he nor Akshay Kumar were informed of Rawal’s decision beforehand. Shetty described the situation as a “crisis,” highlighting the unexpected nature of the exit.
Adding to the complexity, Rawal’s departure has led to speculation about his replacement. Pankaj Tripathi, who previously stepped into Rawal’s role in the ‘OMG’ sequel, is rumored to be considered for ‘Hera Pheri 3’. Tripathi, however, has responded modestly to the speculation, stating, “I’m nothing,” indicating reluctance or humility about replacing such an iconic character.
